COAS General Syed Asim Munir on Thursday visited the Bannu Cantonment where he was briefed on Bannu operation.
At the occasion General Munir stressed for unified efforts to fight against terrorism.
He also affirmed that Pakistan Army will do every effort in securing the people of Pakistan.
On Tuesday,16 terrorist attacked the Bannu Cantonment.
Though soon the attack was foiled, and terrorists were neutralized by Army in swift action.
However, the attack included multiple suicide bombing that killed five serviceman and 13 civilians.
The terrorist detonated explosive-laden vehicle against the boundary wall of Cantonment.
Hafiz Gul Bahadur group had claimed the responsibility of staging the attack.
During the Bannu visit, COAS said those responsible for heinous Bannu Cantonment attack will face justice shortly.
According to the media wing of military, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Asim Munir drew attention to the fact that Fitna al-khawarij continued to operate from Afghan against Pakistan.
He showed the concerns that Afghanistan remained a safe haven for such elements.
In his visit, he also went to inquire about the well-being of injured soldiers at Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
The Army chief General Munir also praised the troops for their unwavering commitment and unshakeable resolve, also acknowledging their resilience and steadfast dedication.
