Four new cases are reported in Quetta and Peshawar, bringing the total number of cases to 37 this year. The latest cases emerged from Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The Ministry of Health confirmed a 30-month-old girl from Lakki Marwat in KP, an 18-month-old girl from Pishin, a 9-month-old boy from Chaman, and a 5-year-old boy from Nushki in Balochistan have contracted the virus.
The total count of polio-affected children in Balochistan is 20. So far, 10 cases have been diagnosed in Sindh and 2 children have tested positive in Punjab Province.
Previously, a 32-month-old girl, a 6-year-old, a 22-month-old, and an 18-month-old boy were infected.
Pakistan remains one of the few countries still struggling with polio.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation in Pakistan and started awareness campaigns in different cities of Pakistan.
