As investigations into the online scam continue, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has seized Pakistani actor Nadia Hussain cell phone.
As part of their investigation, federal investigators confiscated the Benaam star’s cell phone.
After posting a video from her personal device, Nadia Hussain was also given a call-up notice, according to FIA officials.
As part of its investigation under the Pakistan Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), the FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing would also perform a forensic analysis of her phone.
For additional proceedings, the actress has been directed to appear before the Cyber Crime Office.
The incident occurs in the midst of a fresh social media storm after Nadia questioned FIA, which is still accessible on her account.
According to FIA officials, Nadia Hussain was made aware of a fraudulent plot that involved bribery requests and audio.
Using a phone number linked to a Vehari resident and a phoney display photo, the scammer pretended to be an FIA officer.
The public is advised to exercise caution as authorities have described such fraud efforts as frequent.
In addition, Atif Khan, the husband of Nadia Hussain, is the subject of a separate FIA investigation on charges of corruption totalling 80 crores.
Actress Nadia Hussain’s husband, Atif Ahmed, was recently taken into custody by the FIA in connection with a Rs 539 million financial fraud case.
The board of directors of a private bank filed a complaint, which led to a raid on his Karachi home and his subsequent arrest.
The accused is former CEO of a commercial bank, and is accused of squandering corporate funds for personal trade, fraudulently collecting Rs 654 million, and diverting Rs 80 million.
His relationship with Nadia has brought attention to the matter, despite the fact that she has remained mute and has been sharing irrelevant stuff on social media.
