LAHORE: A female teacher sustained critical burns after she was attacked with acid by two motorcyclists, one of whom was later arrested by the police, attempting to flee abroad.
According to details, two suspects riding a motorcycle threw acid on female teacher identified as Ayesha and fled the scene. As result of acid attack, the teacher sustained critical burns on his face.
The injured teacher was shifted to hospital for treatment.
The police said the incident was occurred in Shahdara area of Lahore. The teacher had refused marriage proposal of the arrested accused, the police informed, adding that the accused identified as Umer was arrested from Sialkot Airport attempting to flee abroad.
“The accused was in love with Ayesha and wanted to marry her, but she rejected the marriage proposal, which led to the acid attack”, the police informed.
