Geo TV’s drama series Jaan Nisar, which initially garnered widespread acclaim, has now lost favor with its audience.
The show has amassed over two billion views, and 62 episodes have been broadcasted to date.
However, fans who once praised the series are now expressing dissatisfaction with the direction of its plot. Jaan Nisar is penned by Rehana Aftab and helmed by director Mohsin Mirza, with 7th Sky Entertainment producing the project.
The narrative centers on Nosherwan Ghaznavi, who marries Dua but quickly leaves her due to misunderstandings instigated by Faraz and Kashmala.
Despite its earlier success, the show is now facing criticism for its stagnant storyline. Over the course of 62 episodes, there has been little development since Nosherwan’s departure from Dua.
Promos have repeatedly showcased similar scenes of Nosherwan spotting Dua in a meeting with Sarfaraz, leading viewers to feel that the show is being unnecessarily prolonged.
Fans argue that the initial success of Jaan Nisar was largely driven by the strong on-screen chemistry between Danish Taimoor and Hiba Bukhari.
However, the ongoing misunderstandings and lack of plot progression have diminished the show’s appeal, and many are now simply waiting for it to conclude. The writer and producer have come under fire for crafting what viewers perceive as a contrived and unrealistic storyline.
Additionally, there are complaints about Geo TV’s tendency to extend dramas beyond their natural course, leaving fans regretting their decision to watch Jaan Nisar based on the star pairing alone.
