Electricity consumers in Pakistan got a shock on Monday night with a recent decision by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
Electricity price sees increase
NEPRA announced that the price of electricity has been increased by Rs 7.5 per unit under monthly fuel adjustment (January) and will be reflected in March bills.
However, this hike will not apply to Lifeline and K-Electric consumers, who are categorized under special subsidy programs.
