Earthquake shook Karachi and adjacent area of the port city on Wednesday morning with the intensity of 3.2 magnitude. The seismic activity, according to reports, was recorded at a depth of 42 kilometers. Scientists say the epicenter of the quake was outside the Sindh capital.
Residents of the city felt the ground shaking and many came out of their homes out of panic. It was brief and mild though, residents say, thanking God. No reports of death or injury came from the city and also there was no major damage to property.
Authorities have asked the people to remain vigilant and calm as they were monitoring the situation. The city with over 17 million population is hub of financial activity.
