According to visa processing platform Atlys, a 62% rise in Dubai visa rejections has been reported.
The primary reason behind this surge is the implementation of stricter visa regulations by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
These new rules aim to restrict fake applications, particularly affecting countries like Pakistan, India, and others, now subject to tougher scrutiny and higher rejection rates.
The UAE introduced these measures to manage the increasing influx of expatriates and workers seeking employment in Dubai.
Visa processing now takes longer, with delays of up to 2 days reported. UAE officials are demanding additional documentation and exercising greater caution.
71% Percent of visa rejections are due to incomplete paperwork and common issues include, poor-quality passport photos and incorrect photo submissions.
Some are also rejected due to failure to provide proof of return flights or hotel bookings. New regulations emphasize the accuracy and completeness of documents to avoid delays or rejection.
Mohawk Nahta, CEO of Atlys, stated that the new visa rules provide an opportunity for travelers to better prepare and adapt. While the changes might seem challenging, they aim to make the travel process more efficient in the long run.
By ensuring accurate and complete documentation, applicants can avoid unnecessary delays or rejection of their Dubai visa applications.
