On Wednesday, U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome and Lahore’s Consul General Kristin Hawkins visited the historic Data Darbar shrine in Lahore.
Their arrival was met by Khalid Mehmood Sindhu, the Director General of Religious Affairs, alongside Shahid Virk, the shrine’s Administrator, and Sheikh Jameel, the shrine’s Manager.
During the visit, they placed a floral tribute at the sacred site and took a keen interest in the ongoing renovation and improvement projects at Data Darbar. The Director General shared details about the restoration efforts with the visiting diplomats.
As a token of appreciation, the U.S. Ambassador received a commemorative shield from the Director General, along with a selection of books gifted to the visiting dignitaries.
