Bollywood actress and dancer Rakhi Sawant who recently received a marriage proposal from Pakistani actor Dodi Khan, has now been turned down by him.
Dodi Khan shared a new video message on photo and video sharing app Instagram and break a shocking news for Sawant.
Previously, Dodi Khan publicly proposed to Rakhi Sawant through a video, but in his latest message, he referred to her as a good friend and withdrew his marriage proposal, stating his reasons.
In his new video, Pakistani actor referenced his previous statement and said, “You all saw my video where I proposed to Rakhi Sawant. I have known her for a long time and admire her for her kindness and compassion. That’s why I made the proposal.”
He further added, “Rakhi Sawant has been through a lot in life. She lost her parents, took care of them in their illness, and remained strong throughout. In today’s world, this is rare. Everyone knows what happened to her in her past relationships.”
Dodi Khan also mentioned that Rakhi converted to Islam, changed her name to Fatima, and even performed Umrah, which he found admirable. However, he stated that his proposal received negative reactions, with people criticizing and sending him harsh messages, which he could not handle.
“I apologize, Rakhi ji! You will always remain a dear friend to me. Though I cannot make you my bride, I promise that you will become Pakistan’s daughter-in-law. I will arrange your marriage with one of my friends or brothers.”
After his U-turn, social media users began criticizing Dodi Khan, accusing him of seeking cheap publicity with his initial proposal video.
