Diesel and Petrol prices in Pakistan are likely to decrease by Rs3 per liter from November 1. The prices decreased thanks to the drop in global oil prices.
Recently, petrol and diesel prices decreased by $1.5 and $2.5 per barrel in the international market.
Due to the final adjustments in the exchange rate and current taxes, petrol prices will decrease by Rs3 per liter and diesel will drop by Rs2.30 per liter.
The federal government will officially announce the new prices on November 1. Currently, the government is charging Rs76 per liter tax on both petrol and diesel.
Rs60 per liter for Petroleum Development Levy (PDL) and Rs16 per liter as custom duty.
Additionally, Rs 17 per liter is charged to oil companies and dealers for distribution and sales.
