Tamannaah Bhatia, the acclaimed pan-Indian actress known for her stellar performances, including her recent role in Netflix’s Lust Stories 2, has once again found herself at the center of unfounded rumors.
Reports were going around on social media about her being secretly married to former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq. Putting an end to these rumors, Bhatia has categorically denied them.
The rumor cropped up from an incident in 2017 when Bhatia, along with Razzaq, had gone to attend the launch of a jewelry store in Dubai.
During this event, cameras clicked them together, after which the photograph went viral and speculations began about them getting engaged.
Though Bhatia refused such speculations earlier, the photograph started making rounds again in 2020 on social media and has resurfaced this year with her recent film releases.
Over the renewed rumors, Bhatia reacted in mirth saying that it was a mere rumor with no substance to it. She mentioned that Razzaq is indeed married and with two children as well; hence, the rumor did not hold any basis.
The 33-year-old actress has faced similar rumors about her personal life in the past, including a link to a US-based doctor.
She had rubbished the rumors then, saying, “One day it’s an actor, another day it’s a cricketer, and now it’s a doctor. These rumors make it sound like I’m on a ‘husband shopping spree.’ I am happily single, and my parents are not involved in any groom hunting.”
