The famous Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone and her husband Ranveer Singh, a well-known figure in the Bollywood industry, have just welcomed their first child. To celebrate the arrival of their baby girl, Deepika has purchased a luxurious apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra, one of the most sought-after and expensive areas in the city.
She has invested approximately 2.1 million dollars in this lavish apartment, located on the 15th floor, offering breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding nature. The property is situated in Sagar Resham Co-operative Housing Society, close to her mother-in-law’s residence. The apartment features either 4 or 5 BHK units and includes a spacious car parking area. Covering around 1,900 square feet, the property incurred a stamp duty of INR 96 lakh. KA Enterprises, a firm run by Deepika and her father, Prakash Padukone, finalized the deal after paying a registration fee of 355 dollars.
This location is highly regarded, with several other Bollywood celebrities owning properties in the same society. Famous figures like K.L. Rahul, Aamir Khan, and Tripti Dimri, among others, reside here, giving the society a strong Bollywood identity. Deepika has shown a keen interest in investing in luxurious properties in elite areas, with one of her other high-profile residences being a quadruplex near Shahrukh Khan’s Mannat, valued at around INR 100 crore.
The Padukone-Singh family is actively expanding their property investments. Deepika’s mother-in-law, Anju Bhavnani, has also purchased a similar apartment for around INR 20 crore, incurring the same registration and stamp duty fees as Deepika’s new property. Additionally, Ranveer Singh’s company has rented an apartment near his mother’s residence for INR 8 lakh per month.
Sagar Resham Cooperative Housing Society is renowned for its luxurious residences in elite areas of Mumbai. It was developed by Enorm Nagpal Realty, a firm known for its well-structured and maintained residential areas, attracting Bollywood personalities to invest in such properties. Deepika and her company finalized the deal on September 12, 2024.
Deepika and her family have shown a balanced approach to managing their careers, businesses, and investments, and now she aims to juggle these responsibilities while raising her child. Currently, she has taken a break from her Bollywood career and stepped away from social media. The couple has decided to keep their daughter’s identity private, following the trend of other celebrity parents who wish to protect their children from media attention.
Married in Italy in 2018, Deepika and Ranveer announced the pregnancy of their first child earlier this year. They have chosen to raise their daughter traditionally without the help of a nanny. The couple is relishing their new roles as parents while simultaneously expanding their property portfolio.
