Day light saving time 2025 will shortly start in many parts of United States, on March 9, Sunday, with the extra longer and brighter days.
The number of daylight hours is steadily rising across North America as in some places, March will see more than an hour of sunshine i.e daylight saving time.
Sunrises and sunsets are likely to happen in the end of the second part of the day due to the implementation of daylight saving time on March 9.
On Sunday, March 9, 2025, clocks across the majority of the United States will advance by one hour, marking the official start of daylight saving time. Sunrises and sunsets will occur later as a result of this change.
But notably, this time change does not implement on every state as only specific states adheres to this policy. With the exception of the Navajo Nation, which includes portions of Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah, Hawaii and the majority of Arizona observe standard time all year long.
Legislation to end the twice-yearly time change has been proposed in a few states, but it has not yet been implemented.
Furthermore, although the Sunshine Protection Act has been proposed in Congress, it has not yet received the Senate and House of Representatives’ approval to become law.
Daylight saving time 2025 will end on November 2, 2025, after almost nine months of use. The nation will return to standard time on this day when clocks are put back by one hour.
Although there is continuous discussion about whether standard time or daylight saving time should be the permanent option, many Americans support maintaining a single time system throughout the year.
