Afghanistan has set the target of 274 in highly anticipated match of International Cricket Council(ICC) Champions Trophy at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
While winning the toss in 10th match of Champions Trophy Afghanistan elected to bat first, building their innings around Sediqullah Atal who scored solid 85 runs.
Azmatullah Omarzai also added quick 67 runs. Captain Shahidi played very defensive scoring just 20 runs on just 49 balls.
After losing Gurbaz wicket for duck and early setbacks in the innings Afghanistan team managed to set a competitive total.
From Australia side Ben Dwarshuis led the attack and claimed three wickets, while giving 47 runs in 9 overs.
Spencer Johnson and Adam Zampa made two victims, while Glenn Maxwell and Ellis got one wicket each. Australia now needs 274 runs to chase.
Afghanistan bowlers are aiming for early breakthrough to give tough time to Australian batting line up.
