Football player Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated his 40th birthday on 5th February with a bold claim about his legacy in football.

Speaking to a TV channel the Portuguese star confidently declared himself the greatest player in the sport’s history.
“I’m the best football player in history. I’ve never seen anyone better than me in this game, and I’m speaking truthfully from my heart,” Ronaldo said.
Throughout his amazing career, Ronaldo has been compared to other legends, particularly Lionel Messi. While many fans favor the Argentine star, Ronaldo stands firm in his belief that the statistics back his claim.
“It’s all about numbers,” he emphasized. “In my opinion, I’m the most complete footballer ever. I excel in all aspects of the game – headers, free kicks, my left foot, my speed, my strength. One thing is personal preference. If you like Messi, Pele, or Maradona, I respect that. But to say Ronaldo isn’t complete? I’ve never seen anyone more complete than me, and I say that from my heart.”
Currently playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo has had an extraordinary career with clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester United.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is also football’s all-time leading scorer with 923 career goals. His latest achievement came with a brace in Al-Nassr’s 4-0 AFC Champions League win over Al Wasl on Monday.
Addressing the debate on the greatest goal scorer of all time, Ronaldo left no room for ambiguity.
“Who’s the best goal scorer in history? It’s all in the numbers. End of discussion,” he declared. “Who has the most goals with their head, left foot, right foot, penalties, and free kicks? I checked recently, and even though I’m not left-footed, I’m among the top 10 goal scorers with their left foot in history. And with my head, right foot, and penalties, I’m at the top.”
