For the Australia-Pakistan white-ball series in November, Cricket Australia (CA) has stated that it would set up fan zones for Pakistan.
The CA stated in a statement that “this exciting initiative aligns with CA’s Multicultural Action Plan, which is designed to foster inclusivity and provide brilliant experiences for cricket fans from diverse backgrounds.”
The famous Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will host three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and as many Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) between the Pakistani side and Australia beginning on November 4.
The CA said that at all six locations, it had set out special sitting sections for Pakistani supporters.
It stated, “Fans would be able to enjoy a selection of halal food and access prayer areas within the venues, ensuring that fans can enjoy the matches comfortably and with cultural considerations in mind.”
In an effort to provide Indian supporters a positive experience, the Australian cricket board had already set aside India fan zones for the next Border-Gavaskar Trophy at all five sites, including MCG and SCG. Supporters are encouraged to bring traditional instruments and dress in blue.
Next week, the Indian and Pakistani fan zones’ ticket sales information will be made public by the CA.
