Minister for Education, Science and Technology Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has approved campuses establishment in the port city.
The government has yet to announce the date for fully functioning of these universities in the provincial capital of Sindh.
The minister says he has approved the establishment of three leading universities campuses for the benefit of the youth. The decision was made as per the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he added.
Thousands of the students of Karachi will receive quality and modern education from these universities.
Sindh is considered backward in the literacy as compared to other provinces of Pakistan. Karachi is not meeting the standard of quality education due to multiple factors. Despite the biggest city in term of population, it has less leading educational institutions as compared to Lahore.
