The Pakistan cricket team was invited to an Iftar dinner on Monday at the Army House in Rawalpindi, which was hosted by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir.
Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohsin Naqvi was present in Iftar dinner alongside the players, who had trained earlier this month at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT) camp in Kakul, Abbottabad in preparation for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand.
The army chief spoke on the occasion and wished everyone involved the best of luck in their future endeavors.
According to the reports, the national selection committee is anticipated to make the announcement of the team for the series against New Zealand on Tuesday during a press conference.
The team that is anticipated to play includes Babar Azam, Usman Khan, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, Irfan Khan Niazi, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, and Zaman Khan.
Mohammad Wasim Jr., Abbas Afridi, Agha Salman, Sahibzada Farhan, and Fakhar Zaman are probably going to be among the eighteen members of the squad.
Usama Mir or Abrar Ahmed will be part of the team during the series.
