The vibrant Horse and Cattle Show 2025 came to jaw dropping close on Monday.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired the event, and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir attended it as Chief guest.
The ceremony took place in fortress stadium, that was decorated beautifully. Guests arrived at destination in the afternoon.
The atmosphere was electric as hundreds of drummers welcomed guests with rhythmic beats and festive tunes.
Women in traditional dress led the riding team and formally seek permission before starting the program. The event featured thrilling performances, with skilled horse riders proudly waving national flag and impressing the crowd by spearing burning coals.
A friendly kabaddi contest by the name “Rustam e Punjab”, entertained the audience with dancing camels, goats, buffaloes, and sheep adding a playful and entertaining twist to the celebration.
Dancers mesmerized the audience with various regional dances and performances, with Balochi, Sindhi, and Kashmiri dancers grabbing the spotlight. The show also featured Sufi dances and flute performances themed “Green Punjab”.
16-day highlighted reel of horse and cattle show was presented. Moreover, it was followed by impressive torch parade by the Rangers contingent.
Rahat Fateh Ali khan and Arif Lohar gave their musical performances. Also, choreographic performance by Wahab Shah and his team was presented with the theme song, “May Punjab Prosper Forever.”
The sky was also lit up with an amazing fireworks display at night.
The 16-day festival presented renowned international teams from Turkey, Dubai, Baku, Ukraine, and Ethiopia. International players lauded the event, calling it exceptionally well organized. Also, the participation of thousands of people set a unique record for the event.
Spectator enjoyed dog show at Gillani Park that featured German shepherds and other breeds.
They also enjoyed Shandur Polo matches for the first time in Lahore.
Moreover, it also featured children festival and Cultural nights with prominent performances.
A two-day flower exhibition attracted thousands of visitors to Gilani Park.
The horse and cattle show mark a new record, making it one of the biggest cultural celebrations. Thousands of people attended over 20 major events over the course of 16 days.
