Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed strong criticism against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government. She accused them of only focusing on “vandalism and attacks” rather than addressing the needs of the public.
Speaking at an event in Faisalabad, Maryam says that hospitals in Punjab have the majority of patients from KPK, pointing at the shortcomings of KPK’s health system.
CM Maryam praised her strategies and the administration’s healthcare initiatives accomplished under her supervision.
“Others kept delivering speeches and fake promises, but we have delivered the best results based on merits” She added that despite opposition from within her party, 90% of her government appointees are talented young individuals chosen through a merit-based process.
PMLN leader stated that her administration has created 1,000 jobs for young people, all chosen based on merit, not recommendations.
She also announced the upcoming project of Pakistan’s largest farmer support package, worth Rs. 400 billion, which will be rolled out next year. While addressing healthcare challenges, CM revealed a backlog of 15,000 children awaiting heart surgeries.
“We’ve arranged for immediate surgeries for 100 children, including several from KPK,” Maryam added “I urge the leadership in KPK to shift their focus towards public welfare and infrastructure development.”
And concluded that it’s time to move away from destructive actions and inflammatory rhetoric.
