Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced an ambitious plan to distribute laptops to students within a three-month timeline.
As part of the Chief Minister’s Laptop and Merit Scholarship Initiative, advanced 13th-generation Core i7 laptops will be allocated to students across Punjab.
The CM has instructed that 2,000 laptops be reserved for minority students and high achievers in FSC exams.
The distribution plan includes 20,000 university students, 14,000 college students, 4,000 individuals from industrial and agricultural sectors, and 2,000 students from medical and dental institutions. Notably, 32% of the recipients will be from South Punjab.
According to the schedule, 5,000 laptops will be handed out within the first month, with a total of 35,000 devices distributed by February 20.
Eligible students come from disciplines such as Computer Science, Medicine, Engineering, Agriculture, Social Sciences, Business, Languages, and Veterinary Sciences.
