China’s dream mission “Shenzhou-19” arrived at Tiangong’s crew rotation. Shenzhou 19 is carrying three astronauts.
According to Xinhua, a Chinese news agency, a female astronaut is included in this mission. The dream mission Shenzhou19 departed for Tiangong Space Station on Wednesday morning. Chinese media named this space mission “Dream Mission”.
The new Tiangong team aimed to conduct various experiments and build a permanent space station on the Moon and place workers and astronauts there.
The Shenzhou 19 took off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China at 4:27 a.m. The live footage was launched on the state news agency Xinhua on Wednesday morning.
As reported by China Manned Space Agency (CMSA), the Shenzo 19 crew includes 34-year-old Wang Haoze, China’s only female space engineer, and the third Chinese woman to participate in a crewed mission.
The mission includes experimenting with making bricks from lunar soil. Due to the high cost of sending materials to space, Chinese scientists hope to use lunar soil to build bases in the future.
Tiangong’s core module, launched in 2021, is expected to be in use for around 10 years.
