Speaking to Chinese state media President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari praised China’s rise.
He commented on China’s remarkable growth on global stage and labelled it as a positive thing.
President Asif Ali Zardari said that no need for the world to fear China’s economic surge.
He lauded Chinese Non-interference foreign policy and said that China stood with the principle of non-interference for long time now.
“China has never been an occupier. So why should one neighbor scare which knows that Chinese are not the kind who want to interfere in other countries be. I would never be scared of China, “The president stated.
“I would be scared of another country but not China, “he added.
President was on five days official visit to China in the first week of February. He went there on the invite of China’s Premier XI Jinping.
A delegation comprising Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior of Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Senator Saleem Mandvi Wala and Dr Asim Hussain – went along with the President.
President Zardari held meetings with Chinese leaders President XI and President Ki Qiang. During the meets President put light on deep Pak-China Relations.
He mentioned the enduring bond as “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership,” cultivated by consecutive generations of the leaders of both nations.
While engaging with business community he encouraged them to invest in the country.
The visit marked by the discussions on security measures , focused on increasing the pace of China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC).
Further talks on science and technology, renewable energy and agriculture sector took place.
He commented that the China’s policy of non-interfence was a source of regional stability.
