China, Iran, and Russia will hold a meeting on Friday to discuss Iranian nuclear issues.
The meeting will be held in Beijing as China is going to host the meeting.
As per Reports, Vice foreign ministers of particular countries will participate in the meeting.
China’s Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu will chair the meeting, Mao Ning, a spokesperson of China’s foreign ministry confirmed earlier today.
Iranian and Russian ties were strengthened with the start of the Russian-Ukrainian War. Both countries have signed the strategic cooperation treaty earlier this year.
Moreover. Iran and Russia also have strong strategic partnerships with China to counter USA influence in the region.
Timings of meetings are very important, as United Nations Security Council closed-door gathering is going to happen on same day.
The agenda of the Security Council closed-door meeting is an expansion of the Iranian Uranium stockpile that is closed to weapons-grade.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister had a long discussion with the Iranian Ambassador, Kazim Jaleel regarding the Iranian Nuclear Program, according to reports.
Moreover, Russia agreed to support the Trump administration in communicating with Iran.
Iran reached a Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in 2015 with the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Russia, and China. Iran agreed to cease its nuclear program and open its facilities to international inspections.
But trump administration withdrew from a plan in 2018, and after that Iran also rejected to carry on with nuclear-related commitments.
