Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has become active in an effort to lower the political temperature.
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain held important meetings in Islamabad with the heads of political parties, members of parliament, senior journalists and government officials in this regard.
Former President Wasim Sajjad, Mushahid Hussain Syed and Mohammad Ali Durrani, among other parliamentarians, met with the PML-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
Former federal minister Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, federal minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain and party spokesperson Mustafa Malik were also present.
During the meetings, there was a detailed discussion on the country’s political situation.
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain also expressed condolences and offered prayers on the passing of senior journalist Amir Ilyas Rana’s mother and Mohsin Baig’s brother.
On the occasion, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain stated that the politicians should set aside personal interests and biases and prioritize national interests. He added that national leaders must step forward to ensure political and economic stability.
He further said that the members of parliament also have a responsibility to devise a national agenda to overcome the prevailing issues.
