Champions Trophy of ICC (International Cricket Council) has returned to Lahore, following its world tour across the globe.
The prized trophy had remained in Pakistan for nearly ten days, specifically from November 16 to November 25, before being sent overseas.
Officials have finally confirmed that the cup will be prominently exhibited at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
This exhibition will be held on the 7th of February, in the framework of opening ceremony.
Exactly, cricket supporters in Karachi will also be able to see the cup when the spectacle of the trophy takes place at the National Stadium on 11 February.
Furthermore, the Committee have announced that the trophy will be taken on a promotional tour around the different cities of the country.
National tour of the Champions trophy
The national tour of the Champions trophy will run from January 31 to February, 2.
Over this time the trophy is scheduled to travel across a number of different places. It is so to provide opportunity for cricket fans from across the country to see the celebrated trophy in person.
The route is designed to include major cities visit sites, i.e., Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Multan, and Bahawalpur.
These visits will provide fans in those regions with the opportunity to view the iconic silverware (i.e. trophies).
After these programmed stops, the cup will go on to other locations in Pakistan.
From 5th February it will be shifted to Sargodha, Peshawar and Islamabad.
Through this extended tour, there is a chance for cricket followers across the country to witness it. Once again, they will get a chance to see the championship trophy in real life.
Organizers plan to generate excitement for the upcoming event by carrying the urn to different locations.
