The Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA) revealed figures showing a notable 58.21% rise in car sales in Pakistan during July 2024 as compared to the same month the previous year.
Sales of automobiles increased to 5,857 in July from 3,702 in the same month of 2023.
The data shows significant increase in a number of important models.
Sales of Honda Civic and City models increased significantly to 790 units in July 2024 from 208 units sold in the same month the previous year.
In July 2023, sales of the Toyota Corolla and Yaris increased by 3.65% to 1,106 units from 1,067.
Sales of the Suzuki Swift increased by an astounding 101.60% to 502 units from 249 units the previous year.
Not all models experienced increase; sales of the Suzuki WagonR fell to 139 units from 245 units, while sales of the Suzuki Cultus fell to 96 units from 177 units in the prior year.
Suzuki Alto sales, on the other hand, increased by 99.23% to 2,869 units from 1,440 units.
The Suzuki Bolan had a surge in sales as well, going from 146 units in July 2023 to 288 units.
