A six-month paid internship program across many divisions of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been announced for fresh graduates.
“The internship program will begin in June 2024 to give young graduates a chance to gain experience and launch their professional careers in various fields,” a CDA official told APP.
He added that during their six-month internship in various CDA departments, the selected individuals will earn a monthly stipend of Rs 40,000. He continued by saying that the qualified applicants must have finished a four-year bachelor’s degree in business administration or management, marketing, or computer sciences within the previous three years from an institution recognized by the government.
Candidates who are awaiting results, according to the official, are not eligible for the internship program.
Regarding the application process, he stated that only electronic submissions will be considered. The forms may be viewed and completed at https://apps.cda.gov.pk/Jobs/Internship; incomplete submissions will not be considered for further consideration.
He said that submissions without the necessary information would not be selected and that applications sent in in person would not be accepted.

According to the official, candidates may submit their online applications within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication date. TA/DA will not be permitted.
He explained that the candidates with consistently strong academic records will be shortlisted for interview, and that the percentage of marks earned in the SSC, HSSC, bachelor’s, or equivalent, will be given corresponding weightage, with each candidate receiving 30 out of a possible 90 points.
He said that the CDA website will include the interviewees’ identities along with comprehensive rules.
The CDA shall have the last say on the number of interns, placement, assignment of duties, and internship termination.
Nonetheless, he stated that interns may also request in writing to have their internship terminated with 15 days’ notice; however, in such circumstances, they would not be given an internship completion certificate.
According to the official, students who completed their internships under a previous program would not have their applications recognized.
As per him, the internship is not an offer of job, nor is it a term that may be extended, and it will not grant any right to employment or regularization.
The interns will only be eligible for the above-mentioned lump-sum compensation and will be subject to the CDA’s regulations regarding confidentiality and disciplinary actions.
