A celebrated member of a popular K-pop group BTS is poised to participate as a torchbearer at the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics.
Having recently fulfilled mandatory military duties, the artist Jin known for promoting themes of harmony and peace, will proudly represent South Korea during the torch relay.
Following a joyous reunion with fellow bandmates upon his return on June 12th, captured in a heartfelt photo shared on social media, the artist expressed gratitude to fans, known affectionately as ARMY, during a live session on Weverse. Plans for future music recordings and participation in various entertainment projects were also hinted at during the session.
This marks a significant milestone as the artist becomes the first among his group to resume public engagements following an 18-month military service. The 2024 Paris Olympics are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11.
