Karan Arjun one of the most iconic Indian films gears up for re-release to celebrate its 30th anniversary in January 2025. The film director Rakesh Roshan shared his excitement and the impact and potential for a reboot.
Karan Arjun featured Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan as brothers, who sought revenge after being murdered by their uncle Thakur Durjan Singh.
Roshan revealed that he had mixed feelings about the release of Karan Arjun on November 22. Rakesh Roshan highlighted the enduring significance of the film’s themes, especially the idea of reincarnation.
Rakesh revealed that initially, Shah Rukh Khan had many doubts about the reincarnation concept, but the film’s success proved how well the idea worked.
He added, even Shah Rukh participated in a similar theme later and he was the main lead in Om Shanti Om film
The director suggests Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor as ideal leads for the remake of the film. He remarked that they need balanced roles for both actors. Rakesh Roshan highlighted the importance of giving both characters strong development, as he had done in the original film.
