The cast of “Baby Baji,” including Sunita Marshall and her real-life and on-screen partner Hassan, recently revealed details about the highly anticipated sequel during an appearance on a local morning show. Fans will not have to wait long for Season 2, as the couple stated that production has already begun.
During a recent episode of the morning show, some members of the cast of “Baby Baji,” particularly Sunita and her on/off-screen partner Hassan, shared information about the most anticipated “Baby Baji 2.” Audiences won’t have to wait long for Season 2, as the couple mentioned that they are back to shooting now.
“We are currently shooting Baby Baji Season 2,” Sunita revealed. However, during the appearance, she pointed out that it would require some time for production, thus no exact release date could be provided. It will be the sequel to the previous story. Pakistan’s much-loved drama serial “Baby Baji” concluded with an emotionally appealing final episode featuring the talented actress Samina Ahmed in the role of Baby Baji.
Hassan reiterated that new additions to the drama would be what he termed as ‘sophisticated,’ meaning they would avoid clichéd and dull content. He outlined some ideas that could be seen in this season. He reassured fans by stating, “I think it will probably be airing in September or October.”
The two also discussed some of the criticism the show has received. “We all acknowledge that it ended abruptly,” Sunita said. Furthermore, “we had no intentions for the second season. Producers chose to move forward with season two in response to strong public demand.”
“Baby Baji” revolves around the family of a woman fondly called Baby Baji, her four sons, and her sick husband. When her husband dies, Baby Baji takes on the challenging duty of maintaining family unity, even as she struggles to understand her children’s demands and dreams.
Saud Qasmi and Javeria, along with Sunita and Hassan, who are also a real-life couple, will return as the main leads in the drama. Talented actors like Tuba Anwar, Junaid Jamshed Niazi, and Fazal Hussain will also be added for more interesting and stellar performances.
