Pakistani batter and ex captain Babar Azam has been heavily criticized for his slow 50 in yesterday’s match of Champions Trophy Pakistan vs. New Zealand.
After a long dry spell of being out at 0s and not being able to score more than 20-25 runs, Babar Azam finally made it to 50 but at the cost of 90 balls.
The legendary batsman is being heavily criticized by the public for playing selfishly and not for the team Pakistan.
A user Arshad Saeed Khan on the Twitter said, “Babar Azam always plays for himself and never for the team. Not a competent batsman at all. He should not be playing any format for Pakistan. Get him out.”
Another user said, “Thank you Khushdil Shah for exposing fraud Babar Azam.”
Another user said that, Only Saud Babar Rizwan and Fakhar, 97 runs were made at 164 balls in which there were 108 dot balls. Only 10 4s and 1 sixer.
Another user said that they are not from New Zealand but are still playing for New Zealand. Huge respect for Babar Azam and MS Dhoni.
Another user Mazhar Posh wrote, “Successfully wasted 2 hours watching Pakistan’s batting. You won’t believe just only to end up with nothing but depression. It’s time to end this and get back to the grind. I am done with this fraud team, especially with the Babar.”
Crick Polo wrote, If you want to learn how to play with positive intent, watch this guy Khushdil Shah and Salman Ali Agha. We apologize for criticizing you a lot.
People are praising Khushdil Shah for his wonderful performance. Khushdil Shah made 69 runs on 49 balls. That is why he is being praised.
Another user said that, Babar Azam after making his selfish test 50. This guy is single handedly destroying Pakistan cricket for so long.
Another user Saj Sadiq said, 64 from 90 balls. It is a painful inning to watch that increased the pressure on the team and his teammates. Great for the individual average and ranking but not for the team’s chance of victory. Simply not good enough.
Another user said, Anyone defending this 64 of 90 balls while chasing over 300 is an idiot.
This one was specially for the Babar Azam’s fans who are always ready to support him no matter what.
What do you think about Babar’s latest 50? Was it worth it or not?
