LAHORE: Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam has added another highlight to his career with his impressive batting performance in the ongoing ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 9).
Babar Azam’s latest achievement
The right-handed batsman is the youngest to score 10,000 runs in the minimum number of T20 innings. He reached this milestone in 271 innings against the Karachi Kings at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium today.
He made 72 for 51, helping Zalmi register a reasonable total of 154 runs against the Kings.
However, Kings remained victorious as they chased the target and won the match by 7 wickets.
Previously, the title was held by West Indies player Chris Gayle, who scored 10,000 runs in 285 innings. Former Indian captain Virat Kohli is third on the list as he reached the milestone in 299 innings, followed by Davide Warner with 303 innings.
