Ayesha Omar, the acclaimed Pakistani actress and model, had the most fun way to describe her recent surgical operation.
The Habs famed actress underwent a surgical reconstruction procedure for “fractured clavicle” that was “stabilized with a Titanium locking pre-contoured clavicle plate and augmented with bone graft and bone morphogenic protein” — in simpler terms, the medical professional took a piece of bone from her pelvic area and grafted it into her collarbone.
Ayesha Omar updates fans on her recovery
Writing about her surgery and detailing how the accident happened, Omar penned a lengthy paragraph on Instagram writing, “So This happened. Alhamdolilah. At 7 pm, On the first day of Ramzan, 12th of March 2024. Bohat ho gaya tha ye naach gana aur zindagi guzaarna with a broken/smashed collarbone bhaiii.“
“For those who don’t know, I broke my collarbone and shoulder blade in a terrible car accident on the hyderabad highway 8 years ago. Driver’s fault. The bone never joined even after a year of treatments and therapy, and the gap kept becoming bigger,” she added.
“After many years of navigating through spasms, discomfort, complications and pain, I finally gathered strength to go through with this surgery. I also realised that emotional and spiritual healing cannot happen without physical healing. How can I heal them broken parts of me without mending this break completely. It was a very complicated 3 hour surgery because my broken bones were trapped in a lot of tissue and muscle.”
“Titanium plate, bone grafting from my left hip bone and screws zindabad. groggy and foggy because of all the painkillers.”
“Keeping it low key at hospital so no visitors. 3rd day in hospital today. Should be back home tomorrow evening Inshallah. Then come and hang with me karachi peeps. Bone broth, payas, plant-based candies and standup,” Omar furthered.
“This message is being typed by a friend. Won’t be able to reply to messages or comments. Only voice notes. I’m in agonizing pain but Allah is giving me strength. The pelvic bone (that’s where the bone graft was taken from to put in my collarbone) is excruciatingly painful,” she added.
“Dr Shah had to drill deep into both ends of my broken collarbone to find blood and marrow and then insert the bone graft in the middle of it n set it in place with a titanium plate. Can’t walk or put any weight on my left leg Long road to recovery but I’m looking forward to healing in the next 4 months. No travelling and no work in front of the camera. Will work on music, ideas, scripts and my brands, inshallah,” she concluded.

Amid the gravity of the situation, the Dolly Ki Ayegi Barat star gave her own spin of humor by making an analogy between her bones and rishta culture in brown society.
“Rishta bhej diya hai. Qabool karnay ka intezaar hai. Inshallah Baat pakki ho jaye gee. Dua karain… [The proposal has been sent, waiting for acceptance. Inshallah the proposal will be accepted. Please pray]” Omar wrote with a touch of humor and pun.
“Day 7,” she added, hinting at the number of days of her recovery.
