In April 2024, 70 people lost their lives as a result of militant strikes, according to the monthly security assessment report released by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), a think tank located in Islamabad.
The monthly report states that in April, Pakistan was the target of at least 77 insurgent strikes, which claimed the lives of 70 people—35 civilians and 31 personnel of the security services.
There were 67 injuries in total.
Attacks have significantly increased this month compared to last. Pakistan saw 56 acts of terrorism in March.
This shows that there was no change in the number of militant attacks, but there was a 9% decrease in fatalities.
