Apple has reduced the price of its iPhone 16 series in Pakistan, with cuts ranging from Rs 4000 to Rs 14,000. This move marks a notable shift in the company’s pricing strategy for the flagship device, launched in September last year.
The revised prices position the entry-level iPhone 16 (128 GB) at Rs361,700, while the 256GB and 512GB variants are now priced at Rs401,000 and Rs480,250, respectively.
For the larger iPhone 16 Plus, the 128GB model now costs Rs401,000, the 256 GB variant is Rs441,000, and the 512 GB version is Rs520,000.
The iPhone 16 pro series also reflects the updated pricing, with the base 128GB model now available for Rs446,000 and the 256GB 512GB, and 1TB variants priced at Rs.484,500, Rs.564,500, and Rs.644,500 respectively.
Meanwhile, the high-end iPhone 16 pro-Max starts at Rs526,000 for the 256GB model, with 512GB and 1TB variants priced at Rs.604,500 and Rs.684,500 respectively.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority PTA has also introduced its 2025 tax structure for importing iPhone 16 models. The Taxes vary based on whether the device is registered using a passport or an ID card:
iPhone 16: Rs.128,000 (passport) Rs.153,000( ID card)
iPhone 16 plus: Rs.134,000 (passport) Rs.160,000 (ID card)
iPhone 16 Pro: Rs.167,000 (passport) Rs.197,000( ID card)
iPhone 16 pro Max: Rs.181,500( passport)Rs.211,000 (ID card)
The new pricing and tax structure are expected to impact purchasing decisions as consumers evaluate affordability and value for money.
