Anzela Abbasi isn’t your typical starlet. Born into a Pakistani entertainment dynasty – her father Shamoon Abbasi, mother Javeria Abbasi, and aunt Anoushay Abbasi are all household names – Anzela has carved her artistic path.
While she dabbled in acting with a few projects, her creative fire burned brightest for music. After a hiatus from television screens, she’s ready to serenade audiences, finally pursuing her lifelong passion.
Anzela’s decision to leave acting wasn’t impulsive. The repetitive nature of many Pakistani dramas, dominated by “saas-bahu” (mother-in-law-daughter-in-law) sagas, didn’t resonate with her artistic spirit.
“These dramas portray a certain image that I don’t identify with,” Anzela revealed in an interview. She felt stereotyped by the roles offered, limiting her ability to express her true personality.
She alsoΒ embraced her individuality, which some might perceive as “bold.” However, she clarifies, “I’m not trying to break any norms. People just don’t know the real me.”
Her confidence and unique style might challenge expectations, but she refuses to conform for the sake of fitting a mould. She’s made peace with the fact that her authenticity might be misunderstood at times.

Anzela is ready to rewrite her narrative. Music, her true passion, takes centre stage. This is more than just a career move; it’s a chance to express herself unfiltered. Recently, she released her debut single “Lighters” featuring Mehroze Gilani.
