During the course of many operations, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized narcotics valued at over Rs5.2 million, or 65 kg.
Six suspects, including those who were involved in the drug trade at educational institutions, have been taken into custody, an ANF spokesperson confirmed to Express News.
Following the seizure of 13.2 kg of hashish from a rickshaw during a raid close to the Sangjani Toll Plaza, two suspects were taken into custody.
Furthermore, a suspect near a significant Karachi educational institution had 308 kilos of hashish confiscated from him. The people who were detained admitted to distributing narcotics to students at these establishments.
In separate operations, a suspect near Rawalpindi’s Pirwadhai bus stop had 9.6 kilos of hashish confiscated from him.
In contrast, two people were arrested after 42 kg of hashish were found in a car close to Babu Petroleum in Faisalabad.
Under the Anti-Narcotics Act, cases have been filed against the detained people, and investigations have been initiated.
Based on a tip, the ANF earlier carried out an operation close to the Makran shore that resulted in the recovery of a sizable amount of drugs.
A representative said that after hours of surreptitious monitoring, the ANF located a speedboat that was traveling toward the Gulf of Oman and carried out an operation in the water close to Jiwani, which is a coastal town that borders Iran and Pakistan.
Sixty kilos of very addictive crystal methamphetamine, often known as “ice,” were found during this investigation. The drugs were carefully tucked away in a variety of packages and cartons.
