Renowned Bollywood luminary, Amitabh Bachchan, aged 81, has been hospitalized at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital, as reported by News18. Though the specific reasons for his medical care remain undisclosed, LiveMint, an Indian news outlet, has clarified that his condition doesn’t pertain to cardiac concerns.
According to an insider, Bachchan underwent an angioplasty procedure to address a clot in his leg, dispelling any notions of heart-related issues. Just before his hospitalization, Bachchan, fondly known as Big B, expressed gratitude on X (formerly Twitter), sharing, “in gratitude ever.”

In another social media update, he showcased a promotional video of his Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) franchise, Majhi Mumbai, captioned with a rallying cry, “Aankh kholke dekh lo, kaan lagake sun lo, Majhi Mumbai ki hogi Jai Jaikaar, yeh baat ab maanlo” (“Open your eyes, hear if you can, Majhi Mumbai will emerge victorious. It’s time you accept this.”).
Majhi Mumbai clinched victory against the Chennai Singams, owned by Tamil star Suriya, with an impressive 58-run margin on March 14, propelled by Abhishek Dalhor’s stellar performance. Bachchan’s team now advances to the final stage of the inaugural ISPL – T10 league.
