Ameer Balaj Tipu murder case
The investigation into the murder of Ameer Balaj Tipu, son of the late underworld figure Tipu Truckanwala, has taken significant strides with the recent apprehension of two key suspects by the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) police. The individuals taken into custody include Malik Sohail and Ahsan Shah, a close friend of Balaj.
Sources within the CIA police revealed that Malik Sohail played a crucial role in facilitating meetings between Ahsan Shah and the main suspect, Teefi Butt. Ahsan Shah allegedly provided information about Ameer Balaj’s whereabouts to Teefi Butt, disclosing details such as his presence at a wedding. The investigation suggests that Shah met Teefi Butt several times, updating him on Ameer’s plans and even informing about the absence of rifles among Balaj’s gunmen.
Further revelations indicate that Ahsan Shah, while not in the country at the time of Ameer’s murder, received a substantial sum of Rs5 million for conducting reconnaissance on his friend. Shah allegedly shared information about Ameer Balaj with the suspects while in Saudi Arabia. The police arrested Shah from his residence.
The police are rigorously examining the circumstances surrounding the attack and motives behind it. Balaj Tipu’s murder follows a pattern, reminiscent of the killing of his father, Arif Amir (Tipu Truckanwala), in 2010 at the Allama Iqbal airport parking lot. The ongoing investigation underscores the complexity of the case and the determination to bring justice to the victims of targeted attacks.
