A court in Islamabad is expected to announce its reserved verdict on Iddat case today. The decision is the last hurdle in release of former prime minister Imran Khan from jail. Many are expecting it would go in favour of PTI founder, ending his imprisonment.
A court in February announced seven year sentence for Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi. Both had appealed to the court for suspension of imprisonment.
The courts already cleared him of Cipher case, also suspending his imprisonment in Toshakhana case. Imran Khan is in jail for over a year over multiple charges as his party term the cases politically motivated.
Prime Minister advisor on politics Rana Sanaullah already predicted Imran Khan release. He however said his government would try his best to keep Khan in jail.
