Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt recently addressed rumors spreading online regarding alleged cosmetic procedures, including claims that a botched botox treatment caused facial asymmetry and affected her speech.
In an Instagram story shared on October 25, Alia criticized these unverified claims, calling them both baseless and harmful without directly mentioning specific sources or platforms.
Referring to articles and videos alleging she underwent “failed botox” resulting in facial paralysis, Alia expressed her disbelief, emphasizing her choice to abstain from cosmetic procedures. “I have no issue with anyone choosing their own path regarding their appearance—your body, your choice—but this is absurd,” she stated.
The Raazi star addressed these critical assumptions, saying, “Apparently, I have a ‘crooked smile’ and speak ‘weirdly’ now, according to certain ‘experts’ analyzing my face.” She further called out the audacity of these claims, stating, “Are we really throwing around ‘scientific’ claims about my face being half-paralyzed?”
Bhatt voiced her concerns over the influence such unverified information has, especially on young audiences.
She asked her followers to reconsider the “unrealistic standards” pushed on women, and the toll such commentary takes on self-image and mental health, particularly for women in the public eye.
“This goes beyond critique,” she continued, “It’s time to stop hyper-analyzing women’s bodies and lives under a magnifying glass.”
