Paris Olympic Gold Medalist and Algerian boxer Imane Khelif decides to take action against the leaked medical report.
A few days back, a medical report of the famous Algerian female boxer Imane Khelif was released and shocked the social media.
The medical report revealed that the 25-year-old female boxer was male.
As reported by foreign media, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) confirmed that the boxer will take legal action against the company that allegedly published the medical report in France.
IOC verified that the Paris Olympic gold medalist will file a lawsuit against those responsible for online abuse, harassment, and leaking medical reports.
Imane already sued French media outlets on 6 November to address the unauthorized publication of her private report. The lawsuit aims to protect Imane Khelif’s rights and privacy.
The International Olympic Committee acknowledged that the Algerian boxer has been competing in women’s boxing tournaments for many years.
The International Olympic Committee stated that all boxers, including Imane Khelif, met the eligibility and medical standards set by the organizers.
According to the IOC, each athlete in the boxing tournament adhered to the competition’s rules and regulations and fulfilled the medical requirements established by the Paris 2024 Boxing Unit, confirming their eligibility to compete.
