Ahsan Iqbal, the planning minister, said the court had termed Imran Khan a “certified culprit”, on Friday.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Iqbal also attacked the opposition for giving justification to corruption.
“By takig an excuse through the teachings of Seeratun Nabi, the corruption is being justified,” he said.
Ahsan Iqbal further charged that the public was being misguided by PTI over honesty.
Iqbal added that people who leveled accusations of corruption against others were the worst liars in Pakistani history.
“This corrupt person embezzled Rs64 billion from the nation’s wealth,” he claimed.
The minister emphasized that the authorities should hold all parties equal and that it should not be selective.
Whereas, Punjab Assembly speaker Malik Ahmad Khan also commented on Imran Khan’s £190 million corruption case.
He termed the case an open-and-shut issue in his comments on Friday.
Supporting the court’s verdict, Malik Ahmad Khan described it as a just punishment supported by solid evidence.
In his justification of the probe, he explained that the UK authorities highlighted and stopped the suspicious transaction.
The Speaker claimed that the recovered amount was provided to the Pakistani government by British institutions.
He emphasized that the result of the case proved that the evidence was valid.
Moreover, he added that the authorities must bring into action the fact about the accountability of those who make decisions.
Both authorities, stressed that the accusations against the founder of PTI on corruption charges were grave. They in their statements highlighted that how important it was to maintain the rule of law.
Moreover, they added that the people whom they trusted with their country’s future should be unveiled before public eyes.
