Abhishek Bachchan has reportedly broken his silence on the swirling rumors about his marriage to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Speculation intensified after Abhishek ‘liked’ a social media post related to divorce, and Aishwarya attended a wedding solo last month. While the couple hasn’t issued an official statement, several reports indicate that Abhishek addressed the rumors during an interview with an international media outlet.
As reported by The Times of India, Abhishek dismissed the rumors in a conversation with Bollywood UK Media by showing his wedding ring and stating, “still married.”
He reportedly added, “I have nothing to say about those rumors. Unfortunately, the situation has been blown out of proportion. I understand it’s your job to create stories, and as celebrities, we have to deal with that.”
Abhishek and Aishwarya, married for 17 years and parents to daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, have kept their relationship mostly private. They occasionally post on social media, marking special moments like birthdays and anniversaries.
Despite the rumors, the couple continues to support each other publicly. Abhishek has attended Aishwarya’s film events, and Aishwarya has shown her support at family occasions, such as the premiere of Agastya Nanda’s debut project, The Archie.
Recently, Abhishek was seen solo at the Paris Olympics, cheering for Indian athletes and celebrating Neeraj Chopra’s silver medal in the javelin throw.
