U.S President Joe Biden welcomed the news of killing Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar calling it a ‘good day’ for Israel.
Israeli army blazoned the news of death of Yahya Sinwar on Thursday.
International media reported that Israeli authorities identified Sinwar by matching his dental records and fingerprints. Later an Israeli official confirmed that Sinwar’s DNA was tested to verify his identity.
President Biden took to X and saluted Israel for this success. ” Sinwar’s death is a “good day” for the world. His death will pave a way of negotiation for prisoner exchange deal in Gaza”, Biden wrote.
Biden said that future of Gaza without Hamas will lead to a settlement that will reduce Israeli-Palestine conflicts.
“Sinwar’s death could make an end for the ongoing war in Gaza”, U.S Vice President Kamala Harris expressed.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also praised the Israel army for killing Sinwar. “UK will not grieve for the death of Sinwar”, PM stated.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Hamas leader’s elimination could create an opportunity for peace in the region. However the war in Gaza would end only after Hamas free its hostages.
However Iranian officials stated that they would persist Hamas’s ideology even after his death.
