President Arif Alvi administered the oath, marking the commencement of Shehbaz Sharif’s term as the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
The ceremony, inaugurated with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, witnessed the presence of key figures, including Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahar Shamsad Mirza and Army Chief General Asim Munir. Prominent political figures such as Asif Zardari, Nawaz Sharif, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah, and Chief Minister of Balochistan Sardar Faraz Bugti were also in attendance. Following the oath taking, both Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his counterpart for the caretaker government, Anwar ul Haq Kakar, will be honored with the Guard of Honor by the armed forces at the Prime Minister’s House.
