WATCH: Imran Riaz Khan arrested by Pakistani authorities

Imran Riaz Khan, a Pakistani journalist and Youtuber, has been arrested by authorities, his brother said late on Friday night.

Imran Riaz Khan was taken into custody by law-enforcement officials, in uniform and plain clothes, from his residence in a private housing society near Lahore’s Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Area.

His brother, Usman Riaz Khan, took to social media to call for transparency regarding the circumstances leading to his brother’s arrest.

Earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cybercrime Wing had summoned Imran Riaz Khan among other Youtubers over their alleged involvement in an anti-judiciary campaign on social media platforms.

Khan, who has faced arrest several times over the years, reappeared in September last year after being “missing” for over four months.
