ISLAMABAD: The caretaker Government of Pakistan is preparing to release this year’s Ramazan Relief Package 2024, valued Rs7.49 billion, which will be accessible at Utility Stores around the country on March 4.
This initiative will provide much-needed relief to masses, who are struggling with inflation, throughout the holy month.
According to representatives of Utility Stores, the Ramadan Relief Package intends to reduce the financial burden on customers during the holy month of Ramadan by offering savings on 19 essential goods via carefully planned subsidies. These subsidized necessities include dates, besan (chickpea flour), milk, drinks, spices, rice, pulses, sugar, ghee, cooking oil, and flour.
However, officials have made it clear that the targeted subsidy under the Ramazan Relief Package 2024 would only be available to recipients who are registered in the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). In addition to the targeted subsidy designed for BISP users, special pricing on necessities for the broader public will be offered.
Additionally, the Ramadan Relief Package for 2024 will continue until Chaand Raat, giving customers plenty of time to take advantage of the benefits of the subsidized goods.
